The annual Mary Rose Barn Dance was again a very successful event this year. This is the third year we have held the event at the Irish Club and although the turn out was slightly down on last year we still managed to raise over £250 for the school. The Marriott Hotel very kindly provided the buffet again and also the person power to serve it and clear up afterwards! Huge thanks must go to Luisighe and her team from the Marriott who are part of the Spirit to Serve Community Project Team at the Hotel.
The band were on form again this year but with less dancers we had to have a few musical interludes between each dance to give everyone time to get their breaths back! The raffle prizes, also donated by the Marriott, gave the chance to win a pamper day spa voucher, Sunday lunch for two or even a romantic weekend away. We all had a fantastic night, it would be nice to see a few more parents and families there next year as well as a few more staff!
