Children In Need

Friday, November 17th 2006

Mary Rose School came up trumps on Children in Need Day on November 17th.  We raised an amazing £520 and had a good time as well.

Pupils on the South Site, led by our very own 6th Form students, organised a range of fundraising activities which took place in the school hall.  Everyone had to wear silly socks or pay a fine if they wore boring old plain ones. Parents and friends were invited along and we were delighted with the turn out.

Pupils and staff at Mary Rose North were all dressed in red and yellow.  They also arranged all kinds of activities including decorating a Pudsey cake and guessing the name of Pudsey’s sister!  Over £50 was raised to encourage our speech and language therapist Dennis to have his legs waxed (sorry no photos of that part of the proceedings)

This was a great teambuilding event as well as raising funds for all those children in need.  Well done all and thank you.
