At 2pm on Saturday December 16th there was sudden roar heard all the way up the Eastern Road. A group of excited staff, parents and pupils shared the most incredible moment as 165+ shiny motorbikes, covered with Christmas decorations, drove into the car park on the south site. Many of the bikers and their passengers were dressed as Father Christmas and they all brought gifts for our pupils.
The bikers parked up and then came in for coffee and mince pies. Bikers in leather jackets and santa outfits, many of whom were over 6ft tall were quite a sight in our school hall. They all placed their presents around the tree and than as if that wasn’t enough, they had a whip round and collected £350 for our school funds.
What an amazing bunch of people – and they even let me sit on one of the Harley Davidson’s (see the photo). This could be the start of a new hobby! The group will be coming along to the new site in March for an Easter run. This will be a very special occasion as we will treat it as part of the new school opening. Take a look at the photographs …..
