So what if we had only been open for 3 weeks – that was not going to stop us from raising money for Comic Relief and having a jolly good time as well. On Friday March 16th all our pupils and staff got dressed up, wore red noses and set up a range of fun activities for the whole school. These varied from having your photograph taken and framed to decorating red nose cakes, singing the theme tune and playing games.
Parents came and joined the fun, calling into the 6th form for coffee on the way. We were also joined by our local MP, Mike Hancock who went round to every class to meet staff and pupils.
In the afternoon we all got together for a whole school assembly – we raised £26.00 to encourage Ben to have his beard dyed red and a massive amount of money to have our assistant headteachers Annie and Ashley to be smothered in red cream! Delicious!
We had a fantastic day and we also raised around £100 for Comic Relief.
