Yes they came to see us again. Hundreds of folk dressed in leather and riding fantastic, shiny motorbikes drove into Mary Rose School on Saturday March 24th.
At least 158 motorbikes joined the procession from the centre of Portsmouth to join the Mary Rose Charity ride. The cavalcade was welcomed by pupils and staff from the school and served with hot cross buns and a hot drink. They all brought Easter eggs for the pupils and as if that was not enough they poured all their small change into buckets raising about £350 for the school.
The bikers had come from far and wide representing at least 18 clubs. The pupils were overawed to see so many motorbikes in one place and many of them enjoyed sitting on these fantastic, gleaming machines. Every child will be taking home an Easter egg at the end of term.
Thank you from all of us at Mary Rose School.PS - More photos of this story coming soon...
