Staff and pupils were presented with quite a challenge this term. They were given one week to produce a high quality, exciting and fun show involving all pupils in the school – the theme was Under the Sea. Being Mary Rose everyone of course rose to this challenge and produced a fantastic performance.
Our parents were invited and they really enjoyed seeing their children do so well and enjoy themselves to the full. I’ve never seen so many mermaids in one place and their costumes were stunning. The various groups danced, sang, played music and created performances around poems and songs, all based around the sea.
The piece de resistance was the 6ft 6ins octopus with multi coloured tentacles, each tentacle holding a child within it’s folds! A great performance and we’re already planning for next year …………..
