Faith and Football is an interdenominational faith ministry. One of their projects is an enterprise challenge which is run jointly by Portsmouth and Southampton Football Clubs. Headed up by Linvoy Primus (Pompey Player) and Dave Merrington (Former Saints Manager) the project is designed to develop students entrepreneurial and work related learning skills. Our school has entered a team of 6 students from the Sixth Form who will design and run a business of their choice between November and April. We will be allocated a business mentor, who will be a successful business person from Portsmouth who will guide, advise and support our team in their challenge. Several events are held at Portsmouth Football Club to help kick the project off where several Portsmouth Players will meet students and staff to encourage them with their business plans.
We will be updating our teams progress in the challenge on the website throughout the time period and will keep our fingers crossed that we are one of the final winners as the main prize for the most successful, innovative and effective business is a trip to Goa for students and staff!
