Our first primary Christmas performance in our new school building and didn’t we have fun.
Each class focused on a different ‘sense’ and was given 4 school days to work on their production. They were very creative and came up with some superb, multi sensory performances with a good sprinkling of humour and mischief!
The production was based around the Christmas story. Mary and Joseph took their parts very seriously and spent most of the time ‘deciding’ who should be the main carer for baby Jesus. This did result in baby Jesus being passed (none too gently at times) between the two of them and losing his swaddling clothes on a couple of occasions. However they did agree to share his care in the end….
It was lovely to see and as you would expect the sounds, tastes, smells, sights and feelings were all demonstrated with great enthusiasm by our angels, stars, wise men, shepherds and party goers. The performance finished with a rousing sing-song with parents, families and friends who came along to see us. A great start to our Christmas festivities.
