Our first performance in our new building and it was great.
Pupils from Years 7 to 14 all got together to celebrate Christmas with family and friends. They were given 4 school days to work on their production and used the time really well to create a lively and exciting show.
The 6th form started off by looking into the future and their costumes were stunning in silver and blue. They were followed by Spinnaker and Wimbledon (Year 11/12) who looked back into the 70’s with Slade. Victory came up with a thought provoking performance based on World War 1 and how it felt to spend Christmas away from home in the trenches. Britannia, Twickenham and Wembley travelled back into Victorian times and finally Mayflower and Discovery finished with an excerpt from the Wriggly Nativity which they had taken part in at Portsmouth Cathedral during the previous week. To finish off everyone sang Christmas Carols together. There was a fantastic atmosphere and it was a really good way to start our Christmas celebrations.
