The whole school took to the playground on this beautiful sunny day to walk a mile to raise funds for the new school mini bus – and of course to have fun and keep fit too.
Staff, pupils, friends and parents dressed up as film or TV characters and joined in our sponsored walk. There were some fantastic costumes and each class awarded a prize for the best costume and the runner up. What a difficult choice this was. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse came along to welcome everyone and to add fun to the proceedings - they caused quite a stir!
The walk was followed be a celebration assembly when we looked at photographs of us all in our costumes and also celebrated the fact that we are now a Specialist Sports College. As soon as the sponsorship money has been collected we will announce the total we have made for our school minibus.
