Mary Rose hosted a New Age Kurling Master Class taken by Bronwin Carter, Disability Sports Officer. 5 local primary schools, including Mary Rose, came together in what proved to be a very successful and highly enjoyable morning. Pupils took part in a number of activities to learn how to control the kurling stones and send them in the direction of a variety of targets. Pupils particularly enjoyed knocking over skittles!
After a short break and a quick move of equipment pupils took part in a competitive circuit of activities. At the end of the five activities pupils scores were added up and a certificate was awarded to the winners.
All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the morning and many schools have requested for additional sessions to be delivered within their schools so more young people can access this fun activity.
