Nicola Laing
Parent Governor
My name is Nicola Laing and I have recently been appointed as a parent governor. My youngest son Regan has attended Futcher School from 1998 and has happily settled into the Mary Rose School. I am married to Ian, a weapons engineer in the Royal Navy and have 4 children ranging in age from 11 to 20 years. I have a broad experience of special needs as a parent of a child with special needs for 16 years, as well as through my experience of working as a special needs assistant in a mainstream school. I am really looking forward to my time working as a parent governor.
