Alan Oliver
Hello my name is Alan Oliver and I am one of the lunchtime supervisory assistants at Mary Rose. My role is to set up and clear away the tables and chairs at lunch times. I also do playground duty in both the primary and secondary playgrounds, where I make sure the pupils are safe.
I moved to Portsmouth from London in 2007 where I was a school governor of two schools both of which my children attended. One was a mainstream school and the other was a special needs school which my youngest daughter attended. I have a son who has special needs and went through mainstream school and another daughter who attends South Downs College. I worked for BT for 27 years before taking redundancy the end of 2006 and I then worked as a classroom assistant in a number of schools in London.
