Kirsty Troughton
Teacher
I have a few different aspects to my job role this year. I am the SSCO and will be working closely with the Primary link schools Milton Park and Westover to develop their school sport and hold festivals for students to compete and make friends with young people from other schools.
I am co-ordinating our 2012 project ‘Inspiring Dreams’ in the lead up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role is very exciting as we will be looking to thread the Values from the Games into the Curriculum and take part in many different events with the aim of leaving a lasting legacy of the Games for our young people.
I am also taking a lead on developing Mary Rose as a Sports Coaching Hub. Within this project we are looking to develop our young people and local coaches to deliver more inclusive sessions and learn how to undertake leadership roles, increase communication skills and most importantly develop our young peoples levels of independence.
I love playing Football and generally doing any kind of sport! I also love art, dancing and socialising!!
