Hello, I’m Angie Wilkie. Having revealed my identity I now feel it vital to inform you that my present Head (John Meek) always follows my introduction with “Don’t listen to anything she says!” Should you choose to read on… I’m delighted to say that I have been appointed as Learning Support Co-Ordinator for Key Stage 2. I have been working at Futcher School for 15 years! During this time I have enjoyed working with children throughout all key stages, although the majority of my experience has been within the Primary Department. At present I am working in the Communication Department. This has given me the opportunity to gain experience of many different communication aids both high and low tech and valuable training with various agencies. My most recent training success was my graduation in July last year when I achieved a BA (Hons) in Learning Support from Portsmouth University. This course demonstrated to me the importance and relevance of the support role within education, and the positive impact it has on pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential. On a personal note I am a married to David and have 3 grown up children. I have also lived in Milton for over 24 years, so as you can appreciate, I am looking forward to the short walk to school! I am also looking forward to working with team members and sharing experience and expertise throughout the school to offer a first-rate quality of service to the pupils of Mary Rose. P.S. My friend and colleague, Jeanne, says I must warn you that my laugh can be heard across 3 classrooms!!!

Since last update my hobbies and interests have dramatically and joyfully increased with the arrival of my two grandchildren, although the cross stitch and knitting need some work.
