I qualified and begun teaching in 1974, in north London and I moved to the Portsmouth area in 1983. I have always worked in Special Education, mainly with the youngest children, aged 2-5 years and I was the nursery teacher at both East Shore School and the Futcher School and am now the nursery teacher at the Mary Rose School! I love to work with this age group and enjoy working closely with families and other agencies, such as the Portage service and associated health professionals to ensure that children have a happy start to their time in school. I am a Makaton tutor and have taught sign language to the staff of several local schools, at the University and to interested parent groups. I live on Hayling Island with my 2 adult children. I love jaguar cars and travelling to hot exotic foreign places!
