Alice MacDonald-Parry
School Nurse
Hello, my name is Alice and Ive been the nurse at East Shore school since 1994. I qualified as a Registered Sick Childrens Nurse from Brighton in 1992 and cam back to Portsmouth in 1993 (via London!) looking for a community job for children with learning difficulties. In 1994 the Health Authority funded a nurse at East Shore and the rest, as they say, is history! I was delighted to get the job as nurse at Mary Rose, as it gives me the opportunity to start in a brand new school with all the fantastic facilities available.
In the Summer holidays I work as the nurse on the C.P. Centre Special Needs Play Scheme. I really enjoy having the opportunity to interact with the children in a fun setting away from school.
When Im not at work, I like to keep fit with boxing, cycling and occasional horseriding. I also spend a lot of time on football touchlines supporting my football mad daughter and son Play up Pompey!!
